Where the Rubber Meets the Road:
Using Data to Improve Classroom Instruction

Until more students are successful in classroom instruction that is planned, implemented, and assessed by the teacher, school-wide efforts to increase student achievement as measured by high-stakes, criterion-referenced, end-of-course tests. This professional seminar provides administrators with practical methods for engaging teachers in analysis of standardized test data AND classroom-based student achievement data, such as grade distributions, course failures, and student misconduct analysis. Each of these data sets will be presented as a means of confronting and addressing the teacher attitudes and methods that directly impact student achievement.
